When you sleep in a basement you really learn to appreciate light. During the project they discovered our original side door was very rotted, so we ended up replacing it.

The new full light door actually freaked me out the first morning when the light came shining down the basement stairs!
Kitchen cabinets are starting to go in...
The painters are hard at work, they are careful to tape everything first, then use the spray gun. I would never have the patience to do all that prep work! Here is the taped up kitchen, it took the guy hours to do all that taping!
Hopefully the painters will finish this week, then we play the waiting game with the countertop guys coming to measure...I hope they can get here as basement dwelling (and cooking) is getting very old (even with the extra light)!
