Our layered kitchen turns into a giant kitchen!

In Brussels there is a cool European Union building called Europa which is nicknamed "the egg".  It is a building inside of a building, the inner one looks like an egg. Here is a photo.  

For a few weeks our kitchen resembled this building. First they built the outer shell but still had the existing kitchen inside.  Then they demolished the old kitchen.  When we got to see the new, giant kitchen it was really exciting and we were all amazed at the amount of space we will have!

They have been working hard and have finished the roofs on the porch and sunroom.  

The sunroom roof included installing the nickel gap ceiling that is between the hemlock beams.  

We are eager for them to keep going so we can use all of these new spaces, it is hard to choose which area I am most excited to see finished!
