They worked to bring the kitchen addition to life this week..first the floor...
Then the old roof comes off..
Note: Big opening on the right is for a giant window..but first they will bring in the famous island through this section! (the island has had many moving adventures so far-stay tuned for its last big move)
There is an exciting spot framed in the roof where a skylight will go in!
Friday they cut in the new stairs!
Long ago in our Saugus house renovation we had another set of unfinished stairs which were directly inside our front door. I had been out coaching basketball and little Kelly was home with Greg, who had put himself to bed, but she decided to wait up for me to come home.
Eventually, exhaustion won, and this is what I came home to. 
I can't look at a set of unfinished stairs and not see this picture..I am hoping Kelly will consider a quick trip home to reenact the photo?
